Special Collections: Archives & Papers of Historic Figures

‚ÄčAs part of our upcoming move to Willamette University in Salem, OR, the CST Library has been evaluating our archival and special collections. In order to keep these important collections accessible to scholarship, some have been transferred to other institutions. 

  • Pacifist Kirby Page (1890-1957): The Kirby Page Collection, now physically housed at the Disciples Historical Society in Bethany, West Virginia, is also in large part freely available on the Internet Archive
  • Bishop James C. Baker (1879-1969): Bishop Baker's collected papers and memorabilia have been transferred to the Methodist General Archives in Madison, New Jersey.
  • Dr. Mary Eliza Moxcey (1875-1970) – Leader of Religious Education Movement: Dr. Moxcey's papers have been transferred to the Methodist General Archives in Madison, New Jersey.
  • Charles W. Hartshorne (1897-2000) – Process Thought Luminary: The Hartshorne Collection currently remains at CST.
